Before you collect quotes
Find out what will actually drive the cost.
This tool gives no price, on purpose. It tells you which cost drivers your property triggers and what to ask every electrician — which is what makes three estimates comparable. Nothing is sent anywhere.
About this tool
Common questions.
Does this tool give me a price?
No, and deliberately so. A Vermont installed price depends on the property, the equipment, access, permits and utility coordination. Any figure produced without seeing those would be hiding the assumptions that decide it. This tool identifies which of those factors your property triggers, so the quotes you collect are comparable.
Why is knowing the cost drivers more useful than a number?
Because it is what makes three quotes comparable. Two estimates that differ by thousands usually differ in scope, not in price — one includes the service work, restoration or permits and the other does not. The drivers tell you what to check.
Is anything sent when I use this?
No. Everything runs in your browser. Nothing is transmitted unless you choose to carry the summary into a service request and submit that request.
What do I do with the result?
Print it or carry it into a request. Give the same property details and the same question list to every electrician you approach, and compare the written scope rather than the totals.
Can an electrician quote without visiting?
For anything beyond a simple like-for-like replacement, a dependable price needs a site visit. What this tool does is make that visit shorter and the resulting estimate more complete.
Ready when you are
Turn the scope into a request.
Send the property, the project and the details an electrician needs to evaluate it.
