Permits, inspection and code

Equipment that has been submerged is generally replaced rather than reconditioned, because internal corrosion and contamination are not visible and degrade progressively. Where a panel or service equipment was reached, restoring supply usually requires inspection before the utility will re-energise, and grounding and bonding are re-verified as part of that.

Timing and scheduling in Vermont
